July 2015 rental report
The average Auckland rental price has increased by 5.9% over the last 12 months.
Compared to July 2014, the average weekly rent for one bedroom properties has risen by 4.5% (from $309 to $323), two bedroom by 6% (from $385 to $408), three bedroom by 5.1% (from $470 to $494), four bedroom by 4.7% (from $599 to $627) and five or more bedroom by 5.2% (from $732 to $770).
Franklin / Manukau Rural remains the cheapest area to rent a property, across all property sizes. This area has however, seen the greatest increase in the past 12 months - $31 across all property sizes, an increase of 8.1%.
The Eastern Suburbs continue to have the highest priced large properties, with four bedroom properties receiving an average of $781, and five+ bedroom properties receiving $1051.
