Why Real Estate? Property has always fascinated me. I find the way people develop, renovate and add their own flair to turn a house into a home, each with its own story, so inspiring!
In 1986, my husband and I purchased our first home, a worker’s cottage in Birkenhead that had been transported from the Chelsea Sugar Works to a 3,096m2 site in Mokoia Road some 30 years earlier. The house was just habitable and with a huge amount of blood, sweat and tears we subdivided the land into four titles, sold three of the sites and built our new home on the fourth. This development was the first of many we completed on the North Shore, along with renovations and new builds.
Over the last 20 years I have sold homes firstly with Barfoot & Thompson and then working alongside my husband at a company focusing on new property, land sales and large developments. In January 2024, I returned to Barfoot & Thompson and have enjoyed meeting vendors and selling their homes locally.
