Being born into a farming family, and having worked as a farmer myself for 20 years pre-real estate, my knowledge of the rural sector is extensive.

In 2007, I made the choice to change direction so I could spend more time with my wife Melanie, and our growing family. This was a positive move for us, as it allowed me to forge a career in rural and lifestyle real estate sales, as well as play a part in establishing a number of successful lifestyle and residential subdivisions.

Over the course of 12 years, I worked with McDonald Real Estate, a locally-owned Taranaki family company with a rich history spanning four generations. Seven of those years were spent in the role of Rural Manager. More recently, I purchased and ran my own boutique real estate company in Omokoroa. 

Joining forces with Barfoot & Thompson, one of New Zealand's largest and most reputable real estate brands, marks an exciting new career chapter for me. The company’s family-first, values-based approach very much aligns with my own, and the support and resources the business provides promises to result in better outcomes for all the many clients, in and around Omokoroa. 

Beyond work, I am a sports enthusiast who enjoys spending time outdoors. My passion for scuba diving has taken me on adventures around the globe. And I’ve been heavily involved in football - I was a Board member of Central Football for 10 years and consultant to the board for a further two years. I’m now an active Board member of the Central Football Charitable Trust, and take great delight in giving back to the community through sports.
