Born in Auckland, I moved to Katikati in the Western Bay of Plenty in 2016 – it felt like home. Known for its heritage, murals, avocados and kiwifruit, it’s a great place to live and work and is just 20 minutes’ drive from my place of work, the newly established Barfoot & Thompson Waihi Beach branch.

My working life began in the hospitality industry, then I spent over a decade as a software developer, and more recently, 15 years as a neuromuscular massage therapist.
