Shirlene has lived in the Eastern suburbs for the past 17 years, so understands the local market and appreciates all the area has to offer.
Originally having managing her own business in providing administration services to small businesses, her working background was mainly administration and credit control.
In 2007, she completed her Real Estate Salesperson's Certificate, selling primarily in the Eastern suburbs for three years before moving into property management. Originally employed as a letting agent in an inner city agency specializing in apartments, she then joined Barfoot & Thompson in April 2011.
Shirlene commenced her property management career as an administrator for the rentals department in Barfoot & Thompson, Panmure. She quickly moved into the role of Letting Specialist and then Rental Assistant, before transferring to the Highland Park branch in June 2014 where she was employed as the Rental Manager.
As she has worked her way up the ranks in the rental division of the Company, Shirlene has gained extensive knowledge and experience. Her 'no-nonsense' approach with tenants has earned a great deal of respect from landlords. Her position of manager has offered experience in court proceedings as she ensures her landlords are protected in a very timely manner at all times.
Shirlene also has considerable knowledge and appreciation of lifestyle blocks and farms. She is a keen and competent equestrian and there is nothing more she enjoys in her spare time than riding her horses with her daughter.
