Units for sale in Onehunga
Adjoining industrial units in sought-after Captain Springs Rd, Onehunga, will go to auction on February 15.
Both the freehold units are being sold by Barfoot and Thomson commercial and industrial agents James Marshall and Nick Wilson.
The men say the properties are in one of Auckland’s well established industrial suburbs and are for sale for the first time in 30 years.
Both comprise warehouses, plus adjoining office/amenities spaces, however they could be connected to form one tenancy, says Marshall.
Unit A of about 282sq m is made up of a warehouse and associated office space. The 2017 rating valuation was $569,000, council rates are about $3050 and there are three carparks
Unit B of about 160sq m, is made up of a warehouse and supporting amenities. The 2017 rating valuation was $310,000, annual rates are about $1968 and there are two carparks.
Sitting on a site within the Light Industrial Zone, the 1970s vintage units are rated at 70 per cent of the New Building Standard, says Wilson.
“These properties are also to be sold with vacant possession,” he adds.
Marshall points out that surrounding developments include buildings of similar age and style. Neighbouring residential suburbs include Onehunga, Greenlane and Auckland International Airport, he says.
“This location is positively impacted by significant infrastructure projects, specifically the New Waterview Tunnel, which has dramatically improved access to this location from Auckland’s western suburbs, Marshall adds.
“State Highways 1 and 16 are both within minutes of the property and the Onehunga industrial belt provides neighbouring business activity of similar nature.”
