April 2015 rental report
Rental prices continue to grow steadily across all areas, with five+ bedroom properties seeing the biggest increase of 5.7%.
Compared to April 2014, the average weekly rent for one bedroom properties has risen by 3.2% (from $308 to $318), two bedroom by 5% (from $381 to $400), three bedroom by 4.7% (from $466 to $488), four bedroom by 4% (from $593 to $617) and five or more bedroom by 5.7% (from $725 to $766).
On average, rental prices rose 0.6% ($3) per month, and 5.3% ($24) in the past 12 months.
Central Auckland still receives the highest rent for one, two and three bedroom properties, while the Eastern Suburbs have the highest average rent for four and five+ bedroom properties.
Franklin Manukau remains the cheapest area that we rent in, across all property sizes.
