Bruce grew up in south Epsom, part of a large family, known as 'the Manning Mob'- all of whom attended Royal Oak Primary School.
After attending Auckland Grammar, Bruce embarked on a varied and adventurous career, including occupations from lift operator at Mt. Ruapehu, to working on American tuna boats. Interspersed with these adventures Bruce managed to complete two degrees, a Bachelor of Science at Otago University, and a Master of Science (in Marine Biology), at Auckland University. He was employed for several years after this, in the very first intake of MAF Fisheries Observers, spending sometimes months at sea, collating independent measurements of the catches, quantity, and species, on both overseas and local boats, fishing our 200 mile exclusive zone.
Living and working at sea does have its limitations however, so looking at land based careers, he enrolled in a real estate course. Bruce has now been in the real estate industry for 27 years. Having experienced most of the roles available in real estate, including branch manager, and franchise owner, there are not many situations Bruce has not seen before, and knows how to handle. He has sold approximately 60 homes in Mangere Bridge, and approximately 150 homes in Onehunga and One Tree Hill, plus numerous sales wider afield (from Papatoetoe to Parnell). He has also overseen many other sales in his past branch manager roles.
He has served 9 years as Chairperson of the Mangere Bridge Business Association, which won the inaugural Business Improvement District of the year award, from the Manukau City Council, along with other awards during his tenure.
Now with Auckland's leading real estate agency, he provides a home selling expertise package, which is almost impossible to beat.
