"Buying or selling a home is never a simple thing. Every sale is unique and each brings its own problems but following the sudden death of my step father I was faced the very complex sale of the family home.
Firstly the Public Trust as executor had an interest in the home as did the insurance company who held a reverse mortgage and then there were the family interests to be looked after. There were personal possessions and furniture to be cleared, gardens and lawns to be tended, repairs and cleaning to be organised and with me living thousands of kilometres away in a remote part of South Australia these considerations seemed enormous. That was until a friend who knew of Grant Marshall led me to email him and that simple email led to perhaps the most remarkable relationship I have experienced with a real estate agent.
Not only did Grant sell the family home in and extraordinarily short space of time and at a price I never really expected to receive but he expertly juggled the interests of the Public Trust, the insurance company and my family and quickly and quietly sorted out all of the other problems as they arose, even down to organising neighbours to look after the garbage and finding a home for the family cat.
