After 23 years in the business, I have sound market knowledge, great promotional skills, and since 1998, when my career in this industry first began, I’ve been doing what I love. Meeting and bonding with people.
When it came to choosing which company to work for, I’d always wanted to be with Barfoot & Thompson. I liked the family-orientated environment and the fact that this is Auckland’s #1 real estate firm (selling one in three properties in the region), is a definite plus for my clients.
Once a client always a client is my motto, I can add South Auckland, especially Mangere East clients to my loyal West and Central Auckland client base. Originally from Fiji, I’m excited to be helping ‘my people’ fulfil their property dreams too. My father travelled from China to Fiji as a trader in beche-de-mer, (a sea cucumber popular in Chinese cooking) and sandalwood. He eventually became a fisherman and a market gardener, which is maybe why I love gardening so much!
Prior to real estate, I was a school teacher for 25 years both in Fiji and here in New Zealand. I miss it still, but in a funny sort of way, getting to know and understand the needs and goals of my clients and establishing a good working relationship, is not too dissimilar to teaching. It’s all about listening, guiding and empathising.
I’m a mum of five children and grandmum of four beautiful grandchildren. Along with gardening, I love cooking, especially trying new things and I really love giving tips to friends, family and clients too.
When it comes to selling houses, the truth is there’s no ‘magic formula’. So when you put your property on the market, do you want a salesperson who has the expertise to assess the markets, has an extensive database of contacts, a positive attitude and will put in the hard work? If the answer’s yes, give me a call. You’ll be glad you did.
