About Jo and Cherry
For those of you wondering - I am a Kiwi, my husband of 42 years is from Poland and we have two grown-up girls.
My background prior to real estate was nursing old folks in a rest home. I loved it, but emotionally and physically it was very hard. Almost 21 years ago, I decided to move into real estate. It was a difficult decision and the plan was to ‘try it for a year’!
I particularly love helping people achieve their dreams. I consider it a great privilege when people place their trust in me - I do the very best I can for them on their real estate journey. Many clients have since become firm friends!
Just before I launched my real estate career, so too did Cherry Yang. Cherry's been in the business for almost 22 years - she knows Auckland like the back of her hand and is well respected, with a huge Asian database of clients. Cherry is married with one grown-up son and has lived local in Mt Roskill ever since moving to Auckland.
We both have the same determined work ethic. We joined together as a business partnership more than 12 years ago now, simply to be 'stronger together' for our clients, and we haven't really looked back. We achieve more in the day, we help more people, AND occasionally, we have some time off – we make sure there is always someone available to handle any queries.
Back in her home town of Shanghai, Cherry was a nurse, working in the ED for 13 years. She has that very caring/nurturing nature and always goes the extra mile for people. It's quite staggering the effort she puts into helping always with a calm, quiet demeanour.
To do this job well, there are no shortcuts! No shortcuts to achieve the best for our clients - it's that simple!
