March 2018 rental report
Find out how the average rent for different-sized Auckland properties has changed over the past year.
- Average Auckland rents have increased by $22 per week, or 4%, in the 12 months since March 2017.
- West Auckland has seen the largest percentage rent increase over the last 12 months, with an increase of 5.5%.
- Central city and Rodney rents have increased 4.9% and 4.8% respectively.
- The largest increase in rent for large properties with 5 or more bedrooms was in the North Shore, increasing $57 in the last 12 months.
- Central Auckland, Central and Eastern suburbs remain the most expensive areas to rent.
